Kelly started cycling when she realised it was quicker than catching the bus to school, or more precisely when she discovered that it was the fastest way to get home from school. Importantly, the more she rode, the quicker she could get home from school each night to ride her horse. She tried running for a while, then multisport, but no matter how much she trained, always enjoyed cycling more. Her first bike race was a Kew crit in 2004 which was very very fun and is still her favourite form of racing. Since then she has attempted (with various levels of success) road, track, and mountain biking and while she loves the dirt, is much more at home on hot mix. Kelly now works in Albury and drives home each night to Mount Beauty to ride her bike.
