Riding Discipline (or lack of): MTB & Road
Favourite Riding spot: Mt. Macedon\Woodend or the Victorian Alps region.
Short and long term goals: Seeing if my Fun Volume knob goes up to 11.
Favourite Bike: I think the most fun and enjoyment over the long haul has come from my Custom Gellie fixie.
Years Racing: Three.
When did you begin cycling and why?: Like most kids I enjoyed riding a bike, then as I reached my teens, as most teenagers do, discovered music and bands and going out and… Which went on for about 15 years. Then I came back to bikes riding Road, then Track later to try out racing and adding MTB for the trifecta and the variety. Now it’s back to MTB’ing and road.
Have you suffered any serious injuries cycling? Describe what and how: None… yet.
Describe your greatest cycling achievement to date: It’s hard to choose. Winning the Masters 1/2/3 category in the Baw Baw Classic was a really enjoyable day on the bike. Winning back to back XC Masters Category at the Australian MTB Nationals was another equally enjoyable accomplishment.
Describe your worst race or cycling experience: I hate getting cold and wet to the bone in the depths of winter while out riding. Though it does bring a sense of achievement once you are home and thawed out.
Describe your favourite race: One that I know I have left it all out on course.
